Rens van de Schoot, Ph.D., is associated professor in Methods and Statistics at Utrecht University, the Netherlands and extra-ordinary professor at North-West University in South Africa. He is a member of the Young Academy of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) and member of the FD Young Circle. He teaches many Bayesian and Mplus courses all around the world as well as organizes Mplus users meetings in the Netherlands (mplus.fss.uu.nl). Areas of expertise include: multivariate analyses (regression, t-test, manova, etc.), multilevel analysis, structural equation modeling (cfa, lgm, meditation, etc.), mixture modeling (lca, lgmm, lcga, lta, etc.). Areas of expertise exclude: time series, causal modeling (e.g., DAGs), network analyses, machine learning and related techniques.
