Do You Need APA CE Credits?
APA CE credits refer to continuing education credits that are offered by the American Psychological Association (APA). Stats Camp Foundation awards these credits to psychologists, counselors, therapists, and other mental health professionals who participate in our continuing education courses, workshops, and other professional development activities.
The purpose of earning credits is to ensure that mental health professionals stay up-to-date with the latest research, theories, and best practices in the field of psychology. To maintain their licenses and certifications, mental health professionals are typically required to complete a certain number of continuing education hours each year. APA CE credits are one way to fulfill this requirement and Stats Camp can help you earn them online and in-person at one of our many ongoing training events.
To earn APA CE credits, mental health professionals must participate in activities that meet the APA’s guidelines for continuing education. These activities may include attending workshops, completing online courses, participating in seminars, or presenting at conferences. Each activity is typically assigned a certain number of CE credits based on the length and content of the activity. Contact us if you are curious about how many credits a certain statistics training course offers.
Upon completion of a qualifying Stats Camp statistics training course, we will provide the student with an official certificate of completion. Then the mental health professional can submit their CE credits to the APA for verification and approval. Once approved, the APA will issue a certificate of completion that documents the number of CE credits earned. These credits can then be reported to state licensing boards or other professional organizations as proof of continuing education.
